The Beauty of the Forgotten
Why fear aging or being forgotten? Nature thinks differently.
It knows that aging is not wasted time. The leaves are at their most beautiful in fall when the forest explodes in a splendour of colour and fall to the ground and change into new forms.
I work with things lying around about to be brushed away by time, buried or just withering away.
My work is to combine these objects so that they awaken something new in the eyes of the beholder.
This emotional connection and the surprising discovery that what is perceived as old, forgotten, dead or just trash is now perceived as something given new life, value and beauty.
